Rob was born and raised in Rochester (West Irondequoit) and graduated from Bishop Kearney High School in 1978. He graduated in 1982 from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelors degree in Business (Marketing). Rob was a member of the golf team at Notre Dame for all four years and was MVP in his junior and senior years. Rob turned professional in 1983 and became a PGA member in 1989. He has worked as an assistant at Ontario Golf Club (1983-1988) and as a Head Professional at Deerfield (1989-1991), Clifton Springs (1992-1997) and Blue Heron (1998-2009). He has also worked as teaching professional at GolfTEC Rochester, Ravenwood and Shadow Pines.
Rob has served on the Western New York PGA Section Board of Directors for over 20 years and currently serves as its Vice President. Over the years, He has been named the Section's Professional of the Year (2004), Teacher of the Year (2006,2014) and Player of the Year (1992,1999). Rob has extensive customer service background as well as expertise in marketing.
